Not long after it was founded in 1964, Taiwan Glass rose to prominence in the glass industry thanks to its sound finances, solid business strategy, and philosophy of focusing on its area of specialization. Taiwan Glass established the Taiwan Glass China Holding Ltd. in 1993 in order to meet booming market demand and boost the group's domestic and foreign competitiveness, and began expanding its role in the Chinese market through a series of plant development projects in China. The "Taichia Glass Fiber Co., Ltd." (TGF) is one of Taiwan Glass's subsidiaries in China.   TGF was founded by Taiwan Glass in the Kunshan area in June 2001, and has registered capital of US$11 million. TGF's main products include all types of electronic-grade glass fabric, including the specifications 7628M/L 50&44, 7628U 50, 2116 50&44, 2116H 50, 7196 50, and 1506/1500 50. Products have received national environmental and quality system certification, and the plant has passed ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 international quality system certification. The company's outstanding QC system ensures that its glass fiber products are highly competitive.   TGF currently has four of the world's most advanced pool kiln wiredrawing glass fabric production lines. The plan has an annual output of 40,000 tons of electronic-grade glass fiber and fabric. The first glass fabric production line began mass production on January 12, 2004, and the second, third, and fourth lines began production on May 16, 2005, August 10, 2007, and March 9, 2008 respectively. Printed circuit board substrate products 7628 and 2116 account for roughly 78% and 22% of output respectively.   Since it was established, TGF has consistently striven to develop or acquire all types of relevant class manufacturing technology. And in line with the whole-company quality management concept, TGF also provides custom-tailored, specialized products and services meeting customer needs. It also leads the industry in providing high-quality, highly-competitive glass fiber products, and produces approximately 168 million meters of glass fabric annually.
