The Taoyuan Factory reduced CO 2 emissions by 2,176 tons.
The Hsinchu Factory reduced electricity consumption by 1.0% and gas
consumption by 3.0% in 2017.
As a legal person and natural person of a contract capacity of more
than 800 kilowatts, Taichung Factory has, according to the Article 9 of
Goals and targets Energy Administration Act, established the objectives of conserving 1% of

electricity.
The Changbin Factory conserved 700 tons of water per month.

The Taoyuan Factory reduced 2,326 tons of CO 2 emissions, achieving
success rate of 107%.
The Hsinchu Factory reduced its electricity consumption by 1.2% and its
gas consumption by 4.2%.
Objective The Taichung Factory energy-saving rate was 3.04% in 2017.
evaluation The Changpin Factory saved about 6,300 tons of tap water from April to

December 2017.

Raw Material Management

TGI§s main products include flat glass, fiberglass, and glassware. The major materials used in
production include silica sand, limestone, dolomite, soda ash and recycled scrap glass (cullet). In 2017,
TGI used approximately 311,000 tons of silica sand, more than any other material. The consumption of
these materials is listed below:
