Conventional Roving |
|
Conventional Roving is a collection of specific numbers of continuous strands gathered together without mechanical twist, into a single bundle, and wound onto a cylindrical package. TGI’s C.R. with its excellent dispersion and fast wet-out features, is suitable for chopper operation processes, or production of medium, low fiber contents, etc. Applied processes are Spray-up, Premix (S.M.C., B.M.C.), Prepreg, Continuous Laminating, and F/W Reinforcement, etc.

Feature: |
|
‧Excellent dispersion helps eliminate clumping.
‧Fast wet-out and wet-through to ensure reduced resin usage and shorter work time.
‧Low fuzz and fly to assure cleaner operations.
‧Low static insures maximum gun operator comfort and safety.
‧Smooth run-out, package-to-package, minimize interruptions.
‧Powerful strand chemistry allows use of same roving in both filled and unfilled resin systems.
‧Minimum force to cut strands adds to cot and blade life.

Storage Conditions: :
|
|
Store Conventional Roving in a cool, dry area.
Suitable temperature : 21±11℃ , R.H. : 60±20%.
(Temperature should not exceed 35℃ & R.H. should be kept below 75% is also recommended).
It is recommended to bring material in the working place 24 hours at least prior to use. Optimal atmospheric
processing conditions for SMC are : temperature 75±10℉ (18.3 ~ 29.4℃), R.H. 50±10%. Do not stack higher than two pallets.

Examples of Applications:
|
|
Glass fiber is an inorganic fiber completely incombustible. Glass fiber has excellent electrical insulation properties, high tensile strength in relation to weight and dimensional stability, good weather and corrosion resistance. Glass fiber is an excellent reinforcement material, has low cost, high strength-to–weight ratio advantages comparing to aluminum or other metals.
Conventional Roving is typically used to make vehicle bodies, boat hulls, panels, bathtubs, sanitary wares, tanks, pipelines, automotive components, chairs, containers, helmets, etc. Application includes transportation, aerospace, electronic appliances, marine, housing and construction, industrial/public facilities, sports/recreation, etc.
