Direct Roving
Direct Roving is a collection of specific numbers of untwisted continuous glass filaments produced by pulling directly from the bushing and winding fibers into a cylindrical package. No further process is applied, so assuring good quality stability. Direct Roving is tubeless and designed to be pulled out from the inner side. It is reinforcement for pultrusion, filament winding, weaving, and long fiber thermoplastic (LFT) process. Suitable applications include length-limitless poles, tubes, and structural products with high strength and high fiber content.

Storage Conditions:

Store Direct Roving in a cool, dry area.
Suitable temperature : 21±11℃ , R.H. : 60±20%.
(Temperature should not exceed 35℃ & R.H. should be kept below 75% is also recommended).
It is recommended to bring material in the working place 24 hours at least prior to use. Optimal atmospheric processing conditions are: temperature 20 ~ 22℃), R.H. 60 ~ 65%. Do not stack higher than two pallets.

Examples of Applications:

Glass fiber is an inorganic fiber completely incombustible. Glass fiber has excellent electrical insulation properties, high tensile strength in relation to weight and dimensional stability, good weather and corrosion resistance. Glass fiber is an excellent reinforcement material, has low cost, high strength-to–ratio advantages comparing to aluminum or other metals.

Direct Roving is typically used to make all diameters and specifications of pipe (for water, oil, chemicals, etc.), gratings, rods, poles, cooling/water towers, corrosion-resistant tanks, high-pressure containers. It can also be woven into fabrics for boats, wind turbines, etc. Applications include transportation, aerospace, electronic appliances, marine, housing and construction, industrial/public facilities, sports/recreation, etc.
