This foundation was established
in 1989 on a donation of NT$50 million from Taiwan
Glass Ind. Corp. (TGI) upon its 25th anniversary.
With continuous donations and the accrued interest,
this foundation's registered asset has reached
NT$170 million.
The target of the foundation is to promote learning
among the youth and support financially the educational
and cultural institutions. Since establishment
it has donated an accumulated amount over NT$5
million to educational and cultural institutions
and NT$12.96 million to 884 college students.
Chairman Lin, Yu Chia has long been encouraging
students to learn and to cultivate themselves
with the spirits of honor and responsibility enabling
them to do what they ought to do for the country,
society, and themselves and for the benefits of
the public. He wishes each donee to make the best
use of the donations for the most needed, giving
them warm feeling and support.
