The site is located in Taoyuan County Kweishan Township, a part of the Linkou Plateau, which provides great views but normally has higher wind velocities. In consideration for the safe use of patients, all glass in the window openings of the building unitize tempered laminated glass, which can still provide shelter in the occasion of breakage and prevents from personnel and equipment damage.

The exterior wall openings use a combination of glass curtain wall, large sized fixed glass, and sliding glass doors to provide a large opening area, supplying the medical staff and patients with ample natural lighting and viewing area. Simultaneously, in consideration of energy conservation, thermal insulation, and to correspond with the color scheme of the exterior stone and tile cladding, French green miro-reflective laminated glass is used. This glass can obstruct up to 99% of ultraviolet rays and possesses good acoustical and thermal insulation properties, providing patients and medical staff with a comfortable and quiet environment, without the interior reflection drawback of normal reflective glass.

The entrance to the ground floor, emergency room, underground clinic area, and second floor use clear tempered glass to enhance the visual transparency of the interior and achieve better lighting. The entrance canopy and cylindrical skylight at the central plaza of the main entrance use frameless frosted tempered laminated glass, to emphasize its lighting effects in daylight and lantern effect at nighttime. Stainless steel anchoring members are used to fix the glass on the tubular steel structure frame.
